    \n\tUpon taking the subscription, you will become our \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 library member. Membership is for personal use only. However, it can be transferred to any other individual\u2019s name with explicit communication to \u2018Book My Reads\u2019. No member may re-lend books borrowed from \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 at any time. Doing so will entail automatic cancellation of membership.\n\t
    \n\t\t
    \n\t\t2. Definition of a\u00a0book<\/b>\n\t\t
    \t
    \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\n\tSince the reading fee is a flat rate and is not linked to the number of books read in a period, it is important to note that each title\/ book catalogued in \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 gets the same treatments irrespective of size, cost & target reader. Children\u2019s books are treated the same way as other books.\n\t\t
    \n\t\t
    \n\t\t3. Plans & payment terms<\/b>\n\t\t\t
    \t
    \n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\n\t\t\tBy subscribing to a specific membership plan of \u2018Book My Reads\u2019, the member is explicitly agreeing to pay, in advance, the reading fee attached to the plan plus any other applicable fee at the frequency specified by the plan. Any non compliance with the payment terms in spite of 2 reminders will attract a penalty of 20% per payment period of the amount due which will be adjusted from the security deposit paid by the member and may lead to cancellation of membership.\n\t\t\n\t\t\t
    \n\t\t
    \n\t\t4. Reading period and reading fee<\/b>\n\t\t\t
    \t
    \n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\n\t\u2018Book My Reads\u2019 proposes a reasonable reading period of 21 days with a restriction on the number of books that a member can hold at any point in time. Penalty of Rs 2\/- per day will be levied for delayed return of books. However, under specific circumstances where other library members have requested for and are waiting for a book\/s for more than 10 days, \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 reserves the right to contact and request members holding book\/s to be returned. Members are requested to then return the requested book\/s within five (5) days of such request. Reading fees should be paid as per the plan. In the event a member does not renew his\/her subscription the company retains the right to adjust the deposit amount towards the reading fees. If there is no balance in the Deposit Amount, then \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 will terminate the membership of the member. All correspondence in this regard will be communicated to the email address of the member as submitted in the application form. Members are requested to update their contact details periodically when changed. Reading fee paid in advance will not be refunded. The membership will be renewed from the date of expiry of the subscription. The subscription will be considered to be discontinued only when the books are returned by the member. The member will be bound to pay the subscription fees till the time of the return of the books.\n\n\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t5. Lost or damaged books<\/b>\n\t\t\t\t\t
    \t
    \n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\tAt \u2018Book My Reads\u2019, we take utmost care to maintain books in good condition. Any anomaly (unprinted pages) of damage if found should be reported either at the front desk while getting the book issued or to the delivery man if the book is delivered at the door. Failure to check and\/or report the same will be constituted as if the member has received a book in good condition. While returning the book, the front desk staff or the delivery man (if the book is collected at the door) will check for any damage to the book(s) and report to the member accordingly. The determination of a book being \u201cdamaged\u201d will be at the sole discretion of \u2018Book My Reads\u2019. Members can choose to replace a lost or damaged book within 10 days or pay the penalty amount determined by \u2018Book My Reads\u2019. The damage policy is detailed below.\n\t

    \n\t\t\t\t\tBooks showing tears, cuts, graffiti or other unusual damage\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/td>\n\t\t\t\t<\/tr>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/tbody>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/table>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t

    \n\t\t6. Membership closure & refund of deposit<\/b>\n\t\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t<\/div>\t\n\n\tTo discourage ad-hoc and short term membership, members are required to comply with a minimum membership term of three months. Reading fees will not be refunded in case of any premature closure of membership in less than three months from the date of sign-up. The security Deposit collected at the time of registration is a refundable deposit which will be refunded without any interest if the member decides to cancel\/terminate the membership. The deposit will be paid back to the member after the last set of books are returned\/collected in full and is verified by the library staff to be in proper condition without any damages.\u00a0The security deposit will be refunded within 15 working days from the date of closure request. This amount will be transferred through NEFT to your bank Account. Under extreme situations caused by non-compliance to the Terms of Use by the member, \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 reserves the right to terminate a membership for any or no reason without any refund.\n\t\n\n\t\n\t\n\t\t\n\t

    \n\t\t7. Unclaimed refundable deposit<\/b>\n\t\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t<\/div>\t\n\n\tUpon expiry of membership, \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 sends reminders over emails\/ messages to its members for renewal. Three months after expiry, \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 reserves the right to classify the account as \u2018Dormant\u2019 and initiate steps to recover cost of books and any unpaid reading fee from the refundable deposit, if there is no action on the reminders, which would be communicated to the member through email\/message. Post this recovery, any excess deposit left in the account will be retained as \u201cUnclaimed\u201d refundable deposit for a period of 3 months and periodic reminders would be sent to the member to claim the same. After 12 months of expiry of membership, \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 reserves the right to treat the member as \u201cnot reachable\u201d and take appropriate action on the unclaimed refundable deposit if there has been no response from the member on the reminder communications.\n\t\n\t\t\n\t

    \n\t\t8. Temporary suspension of the membership<\/b>\n\t\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t<\/div>\t\n\n\tThrough a feature called \u201cSubscription Holiday\u201d, \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 allows the member to pause the membership (temporary suspension), for a duration of 1 to 2 months before expiration of membership. During the Subscription Holiday period, the member will not be able to use the library facilities. To utilise this feature, the member is required to inform us regarding the Subscription Holiday at the Library front desk. All issued books should be returned to the Library \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 before the start date of Subscription Holiday.\n\t\n\t\t\t\n\t
    \n\t\t
    \n\t\t9. Changes in terms of use<\/b>\n\t\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t<\/div>\t\n\t\t
    \n\n\t\u2018Book My Reads\u2019 reserves the right, from time to time, with or without notice, to change these Terms of Use in its sole and absolute discretion. The latest version of these Terms of Use can be reviewed by clicking on the \u201cTerms of Use\u201d located at the bottom of the pages of the \u2018Book My Reads\u2019 website. The latest version of the Terms of Use will supersede all previous versions. Your continued use of our service after changes will be an indication that you agree to be bound by such changes.\n\t\n\t
