By subscribing to the registration process at ‘Book My Reads’, Members accept all items in the Terms of Use and agree to abide by and be legally bound by the terms and conditions. By accessing this website and any pages thereof, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below. Any individual who submits a fully complete application form for membership with,

• Personal details such as name
• Mobile phone number and
• Communicable email address is welcome to sign up ‘Book My Reads’ (A Nurturing Roots Venture).

Upon taking the subscription, you will become our ‘Book My Reads’ library member. Membership is for personal use only. However, it can be transferred to any other individual’s name with explicit communication to ‘Book My Reads’. No member may re-lend books borrowed from ‘Book My Reads’ at any time. Doing so will entail automatic cancellation of membership. Since the reading fee is a flat rate and is not linked to the number of books read in a period, it is important to note that each title/ book catalogued in ‘Book My Reads’ gets the same treatments irrespective of size, cost & target reader. Children’s books are treated the same way as other books. By subscribing to a specific membership plan of ‘Book My Reads’, the member is explicitly agreeing to pay, in advance, the reading fee attached to the plan plus any other applicable fee at the frequency specified by the plan. Any non compliance with the payment terms in spite of 2 reminders will attract a penalty of 20% per payment period of the amount due which will be adjusted from the security deposit paid by the member and may lead to cancellation of membership. ‘Book My Reads’ proposes a reasonable reading period of 21 days with a restriction on the number of books that a member can hold at any point in time. Penalty of Rs 2/- per day will be levied for delayed return of books. However, under specific circumstances where other library members have requested for and are waiting for a book/s for more than 10 days, ‘Book My Reads’ reserves the right to contact and request members holding book/s to be returned. Members are requested to then return the requested book/s within five (5) days of such request. Reading fees should be paid as per the plan. In the event a member does not renew his/her subscription the company retains the right to adjust the deposit amount towards the reading fees. If there is no balance in the Deposit Amount, then ‘Book My Reads’ will terminate the membership of the member. All correspondence in this regard will be communicated to the email address of the member as submitted in the application form. Members are requested to update their contact details periodically when changed. Reading fee paid in advance will not be refunded. The membership will be renewed from the date of expiry of the subscription. The subscription will be considered to be discontinued only when the books are returned by the member. The member will be bound to pay the subscription fees till the time of the return of the books. At ‘Book My Reads’, we take utmost care to maintain books in good condition. Any anomaly (unprinted pages) of damage if found should be reported either at the front desk while getting the book issued or to the delivery man if the book is delivered at the door. Failure to check and/or report the same will be constituted as if the member has received a book in good condition. While returning the book, the front desk staff or the delivery man (if the book is collected at the door) will check for any damage to the book(s) and report to the member accordingly. The determination of a book being “damaged” will be at the sole discretion of ‘Book My Reads’. Members can choose to replace a lost or damaged book within 10 days or pay the penalty amount determined by ‘Book My Reads’. The damage policy is detailed below.

To discourage ad-hoc and short term membership, members are required to comply with a minimum membership term of three months. Reading fees will not be refunded in case of any premature closure of membership in less than three months from the date of sign-up. The security Deposit collected at the time of registration is a refundable deposit which will be refunded without any interest if the member decides to cancel/terminate the membership. The deposit will be paid back to the member after the last set of books are returned/collected in full and is verified by the library staff to be in proper condition without any damages. The security deposit will be refunded within 15 working days from the date of closure request. This amount will be transferred through NEFT to your bank Account. Under extreme situations caused by non-compliance to the Terms of Use by the member, ‘Book My Reads’ reserves the right to terminate a membership for any or no reason without any refund. Upon expiry of membership, ‘Book My Reads’ sends reminders over emails/ messages to its members for renewal. Three months after expiry, ‘Book My Reads’ reserves the right to classify the account as ‘Dormant’ and initiate steps to recover cost of books and any unpaid reading fee from the refundable deposit, if there is no action on the reminders, which would be communicated to the member through email/message. Post this recovery, any excess deposit left in the account will be retained as “Unclaimed” refundable deposit for a period of 3 months and periodic reminders would be sent to the member to claim the same. After 12 months of expiry of membership, ‘Book My Reads’ reserves the right to treat the member as “not reachable” and take appropriate action on the unclaimed refundable deposit if there has been no response from the member on the reminder communications. Through a feature called “Subscription Holiday”, ‘Book My Reads’ allows the member to pause the membership (temporary suspension), for a duration of 1 to 2 months before expiration of membership. During the Subscription Holiday period, the member will not be able to use the library facilities. To utilise this feature, the member is required to inform us regarding the Subscription Holiday at the Library front desk. All issued books should be returned to the Library ‘Book My Reads’ before the start date of Subscription Holiday.
‘Book My Reads’ reserves the right, from time to time, with or without notice, to change these Terms of Use in its sole and absolute discretion. The latest version of these Terms of Use can be reviewed by clicking on the “Terms of Use” located at the bottom of the pages of the ‘Book My Reads’ website. The latest version of the Terms of Use will supersede all previous versions. Your continued use of our service after changes will be an indication that you agree to be bound by such changes. Information provided by a member, while signing up to ‘Book My Reads’ services, such as identification and contact details, will be for the exclusive use of ‘Book My Reads’. ‘Book My Reads’ may use this information to send regular communications about service related, third party source or any other relevant information. ‘Book My Reads’ uses the information collected from you to provide you with access to our services and to monitor your usage of such services. The ‘Terms of Use’ of ‘Book My Reads’ is critical in its continuous efforts to offer a great reading experience to members. Please read the conditions set forth in this document. We look forward to your cooperation in adhering to the same. Thank you for your membership. We will sincerely work towards providing you a wonderful reading experience at ‘Book My Reads’. Do check the library books for any damage and return only ‘Book My Reads’ library books.
Please alert our staff if you encounter any of the following:

Water-logged pages of the book
Stains / Scribbles on the pages of the book/ marking by pencil, ink or highlight marker
Missing / Torn pages of the book
Books showing tears, cuts, graffiti or other unusual damage

Please be responsible by taking care of the library books that you borrow. Do not dog fold / tear the pages or scribble on the pages of the library books.
